Growing up I played many sports so I did not skate as much as I would have liked to avoid injury. Thankfully, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater allowed me to immerse myself in skate culture from a safe approach. Now I ride my Boosted e-board everywhere and pretend I am back in the video game. I feel truly fortunate to been have able to screen such cook production footage by someone I grew up admiring. Not only was it inspiring, but it was pure eye-candy and a joy to work on.
This campaign for Tony's class helped me become more skilled at speed ramps/time-remapping within premiere to smoothly flow from high to low-speed playback. One thing I would have liked to have included would be sound effects from the video game franchise such as the sound heard when a player does a special trick like the 900. ...and maybe some JJ Abrams lens flares... ;)
